SLOTHS AND FOOD

This cute display was at a private house on the access road.

While the name refers to Toucans,

they really do most of their work with sloths, and we were there to see sloths and happy to be able to.  We had missed them on the night hike in Monteverde.

There were also some fine looking parrots.

Afterwards we headed to a restaurant picked off the internet, but it was closed.  Our Uber driver called another nearby, found it was open, and drove us there.  Amazing people!

The restaurant was at the joining of two major highways, or Pistas as we were to learn later from the driver who took us home.
The food was typical, inexpensive, and good.  It was well above the usual soda food, and the restaurant was decorated with some fake trees and even one part of an actual tree,  fake plants, and a waterfall.  It was nice.
Elizabeth had the best meal, barbecue ribs that came in a rack.  She gave me quite a bit of that.  I had cut beef mixed with onions and other vegetables.  It was tasty, but not as good as hers.  We shared an Imperial beer.  It sure tastes good.  I drank my share this time and even had some mashed potato.
